Helping Friends in Haiti
Steve Maser of EVAPAR returned from a Trip to Haiti with his family, where his wife Christy led a team of volunteers to serve the Global Outreach Haiti compound in Titanyen. On this recent trip they served a Thanksgiving Meal to the full time missionary residents. The team attended schools which are supported by the mission, played with the children, and provided them snacks. The team conducted a day camp for approximately fifty children from the town of Titanyen which included arts and crafts, games, lunch, and more while ministering to them. They helped serve in the elderly feeding program which currently feeds over 25 older Haitians and also worked on prepaation of Christmas outreach programs for the mission.
EVAPAR has supported the mission in Haiti with donations and supplying equipment and parts, including one of the generators that powers the compound and another one that will power the new church in Titanyen.
Global Outreach Haiti operates the mission on a 66 acre compound and serves The Lord in a number of capacities: On site burn clinic, feeding program for the elderly, school program for children, mechanical resources for other local missions, Camp Barnabas–a children’s camp, Sport Disciple–a soccer program, a conference center, and so much more.
Recently the mission has been spearheading the building of a new church in Titanyen which is near completion. To learn more, please visit their website: www.globaloutreachhaiti.com.
